BILL NUMBER: S9343 SPONSOR: SEPULVEDA TITLE OF BILL: An act to repeal subdivision 9 of section 8-400 of the election law, in relation to absentee voting in primary elections for certain party posi- tions PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The purpose of this bill is to make a conforming change to the New York State Election Law. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one of this bill repeals § 8-400(9) of the Election Law, which provides that absentee voting in primary elections shall not apply to the party positions of members of the ward, town, city, or county committee. Section two of this bill establishes the effective date.

Subdivision 9 of section 8-400 of the election law is REPEALED. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
