 Introduced  by  Sen.  LANZA  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT granting George Jensen an earlier starting date with the New York
   City Department of Sanitation
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
 George  Jensen,  a  current  employee of the New York City Department of
 Sanitation, who for reasons not ascribable to his own negligence and due
 to an internal error was unable to begin employment with  the  New  York
 City  Department  of Sanitation until November 1, 2021, shall be granted
 retroactive seniority time and have his start date established as August
 1, 2021, which is the date, but for such error, George Jensen would have
 commenced such employment.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
