 AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to exempting  party  posi-
   tion elections from automatic full manual recounts
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section  9-208  of  the  election  law  is
 amended by adding a new paragraph (f) to read as follows:
   (F) THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL NOT APPLY TO ANY ELECTION FOR A PARTY POSI-
 TION WHICH OCCURS DURING A PRIMARY ELECTION.
