 AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to  lease  vehicle
   protections
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Section 396-z of the general business  law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 17 to read as follows:
   17.  EVERY  LEASE  SHALL  ITEMIZE  AND  SET  FORTH IN DETAIL ALL COSTS
 REQUIRED TO BE PAID BY THE LESSEE OR PURCHASER  OF  THE  RENTAL  VEHICLE
 UPON TERMINATION OF SUCH LEASE.
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
 have become a law; provided, however, that  subdivision  17  of  section
 396-z  of the general business law, as added by section one of this act,
 shall survive the expiration and reversion of such section  as  provided
 in subdivision (a) of section 4 of chapter 109 of the laws of 2018.
