 AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to designating the "Honor and
   Remember Flag" as  the  official  state  flag  for  recognizing  armed
   services members

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The state law is amended by adding a new section 93 to read
 as follows:
   § 93. STATE FLAG FOR RECOGNIZING ARMED SERVICES  MEMBERS.  THE  "HONOR
 AND  REMEMBER FLAG" SHALL BE THE OFFICIAL STATE FLAG FOR RECOGNIZING ALL
 ARMED SERVICES MEMBERS WHO HAVE DIED AS A RESULT OF SERVING  THE  UNITED
 STATES IN ANY WAR OR CONFLICT THE NATION HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN SINCE ITS
 INCEPTION. THE COMMISSIONER OF GENERAL SERVICES SHALL ESTABLISH A PROTO-
 COL FOR THE FLYING OF SUCH FLAG.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
