 AN ACT to amend part AA of chapter 58 of the laws of 2016,  relating  to
   establishing  a  zero emissions vehicle and clean burning fuel vehicle
   rebate program, in relation to including used vehicles  in  the  drive
   clean rebate program

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The opening paragraph of paragraph b of subdivision  1  and
 subdivision 3 of section 1 of part AA of chapter 58 of the laws of 2016,
 relating to establishing a zero emissions vehicle and clean burning fuel
 vehicle rebate program, are amended to read as follows:
   "Eligible  vehicle"  means  and  includes  a new OR USED motor vehicle
 that:
   3. The program created pursuant to this act shall include rebates  for
 eligible purchases, provided that a rebate for an eligible purchase OF A
 NEW  MOTOR VEHICLE shall not exceed two thousand dollars AND AN ELIGIBLE
 PURCHASE OF A USED MOTOR VEHICLE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
 have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or
 repeal  of  any  rule  or regulation necessary for the implementation of
 this act on its effective date are authorized to be made  and  completed
 on or before such effective date.
