 AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
   directing  the  commissioner  to publicly publish the annual report of
   the environmental radiation surveillance program

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subdivision  1  of  section  3-0301  of the environmental
 conservation law is amended by adding a new  paragraph  ii  to  read  as
 follows:
   II.  PROVIDE  FREELY  AND  MAKE  PUBLICLY AVAILABLE ON ITS WEBSITE THE
 ANNUAL REPORT ON RADIOACTIVE RELEASES OR DISPOSALS,  SUBMITTED  PURSUANT
 TO  6  NYCRR  380.    IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, SUCH
 REPORT SHALL BE ANALYZED TO SHOW TRENDS AND  THE  CUMULATIVE  IMPACT  OF
 SUCH  RADIOACTIVE  RELEASES  OR  DISPOSALS; PROVIDED THAT OTHER RELEVANT
 AGENCIES SHALL BE NOTIFIED IF CONTAMINATION HAS EXCEEDED  STANDARDS  FOR
 MAXIMUM  ALLOWABLE LEVEL PERMITTED IN DRINKING WATER OR FOOD SOURCES, AS
 PRESCRIBED BY THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
