 AN ACT to amend the Nassau county civil divisions act,  in  relation  to
   the Volunteer and Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Association of Williston
   Park
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision a of section 610.0 of the Nassau  county  civil
 divisions act, as added by chapter 73 of the laws of 1940, is amended to
 read as follows:
   a.  The  corporation  by the name of "Volunteer and Exempt [Firemen's]
 FIREFIGHTER'S Benevolent  Association  of  Williston  Park,"  is  hereby
 continued.
   §  2. Section 610.4 of the Nassau county civil divisions act, as added
 by chapter 73 of the laws of 1940, is amended to read as follows:
   § Section 610.4 Control  and  disposal  of  funds  and  property.  The
 control  and  disposal  of the funds, property and estate of such corpo-
 ration and the management of its affairs shall be vested in a  board  of
 trustees,  which  shall  consist  of  [twelve]  EIGHTEEN members of such
 corporation, to wit: six members to be elected from  either  the  active
 membership or exempt membership of company number one, SIX MEMBERS TO BE
 ELECTED FROM EITHER THE ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP OR EXEMPT MEMBERSHIP OF COMPA-
 NY  NUMBER  TWO,  and  six  members TO BE ELECTED from EITHER the active
 membership or exempt membership of company number  [two]  THREE  of  the
 Williston  Park  fire department. The officers of such corporation shall
 be in such number and designated and shall have and exercise such powers
 and duties as may be provided by the by-laws. The trustees and  officers
 shall be elected at the annual meeting of such corporation in the manner
 prescribed by its by-laws.
   §  3. Section 610.5 of the Nassau county civil divisions act, as added
 by chapter 73 of the laws of 1940, is amended to read as follows:
