 AN ACT to amend chapter 438 of the laws of 2022 relating to the adoption
   and  submission of an annual budget by the Trustees of the Freeholders
   and Commonalty  of the town of Southampton, in relation to the  effec-
   tiveness thereof

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 438 of the laws of  2022  relating  to
 the  adoption  and submission of an annual budget by the Trustees of the
 Freeholders and Commonalty  of the town of Southampton,  is  amended  to
 read as follows:
   §  3.  This  act  shall take effect immediately and shall apply to all
 fiscal years beginning on and after January 1, [2024] 2025.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
