 AN ACT to amend the education  law,  in  relation  to  requirements  for
   licensure as a dentist

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivisions 3 and 6 of section 6604 of the education  law,
 subdivision 3 as amended by chapter 613 of the laws of 2022 and subdivi-
 sion  6  as  amended  by chapter 669 of the laws of 2022, are amended to
 read as follows:
   (3) Experience: (A) have experience satisfactory to the board  and  in
 accordance with the commissioner's regulations, provided that such expe-
 rience shall consist of satisfactory completion of a postdoctoral gener-
 al  practice  or  specialty  dental  residency  program, of at least one
 year's duration, in a hospital or dental facility accredited for  teach-
 ing  purposes by a national accrediting body approved by the department,
 provided, further that any such residency program shall include a formal
 outcome assessment evaluation of the resident's competence  to  practice
 dentistry acceptable to the department; OR
   (B) NOTWITHSTANDING PARAGRAPH (A) OF THIS SUBDIVISION, HAVE EXPERIENCE
 SATISFACTORY  TO  THE  BOARD  AND  IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMISSIONER'S
 REGULATIONS, PROVIDED THAT WHERE AN APPLICANT HAS COMPLETED A PROGRAM OF
 DENTAL EDUCATION IN A FOREIGN DENTAL SCHOOL RECOGNIZED BY THE  APPROPRI-
 ATE  CIVIL  AUTHORITIES OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH THE SCHOOL IS LOCATED AS
 ACCEPTABLE FOR ENTRY INTO PRACTICE IN SUCH COUNTRY, SUCH EXPERIENCE  MAY
 CONSIST OF A MINIMUM OF THREE YEARS OF FULL-TIME DENTAL PRACTICE, OR THE
 EQUIVALENT THEREOF, IN THE COUNTRY OF SUCH UNREGISTERED AND UNACCREDITED
 FOREIGN  DENTAL  SCHOOL  WITHIN THE FIVE YEARS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE
 SUBMISSION OF AN INITIAL LICENSE  APPLICATION,  AND  THE  COMPLETION  OF
 EITHER (I) AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AS A FULL-TIME FACULTY MEMBER

 AN ACT to amend the education  law,  in  relation  to  requirements  for
   licensure as a dentist
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivisions 3 and 6 of section 6604 of the education  law,
 subdivision 3 as amended by chapter 613 of the laws of 2022 and subdivi-
 sion  6  as  amended  by chapter 669 of the laws of 2022, are amended to
 read as follows:

   (A)  such  experience  shall  consist  of satisfactory completion of a

 YEAR  OF  EITHER:  (I) EXPERIENCE AS A FULL-TIME FACULTY MEMBER EMPLOYED
