BILL NUMBER: S354 SPONSOR: JACKSON TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to overnight school bus parking on city streets PURPOSE: This legislation will prohibit school buses from parking on city streets overnight. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends the Administrative Code of the City of New York by adding a new Section 19-611 that prohibits school buses operated by or pursuant to a contract with the board of education for transportation of students to or from public schools from parking overnight on a city street. Section 2 is the effective date.

JACKSON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities 1 AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to overnight school bus parking on city streets THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 19-611 to read as follows: § 19-611 OVERNIGHT PARKING ON A CITY STREET. NO SCHOOL BUS OPERATED BY OR PURSUANT TO A CONTRACT WITH THE BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR TRANSPORTATION OF STUDENTS TO OR FROM PUBLIC SCHOOLS SHALL PARK OVERNIGHT ON A CITY STREET. § 2.
