 Introduced by Sen. SEPULVEDA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
 AN  ACT  to  amend  the education law, in relation to building condition
   survey services
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Subdivision  4  of  section  3641 of the education law is
 amended by adding a new paragraph d to read as follows:
   D. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO THE  CONTRARY,
 BUILDING  CONDITION SURVEYS OF PUBLIC SCHOOL BUILDINGS CONSTRUCTED PRIOR
 TO THE YEAR NINETEEN HUNDRED FIFTY SHALL BE UNDERTAKEN EVERY OTHER  YEAR
 AND A VISUAL INSPECTION SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN YEARS IN WHICH NO BUILDING
 CONDITION SURVEY IS CONDUCTED FOR THE BUILDING.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
