As a mental health therapist in the state of New York, I implore Senate to please support this bill. Allowing New York to join the ranks of the many other progressive states that have joined the Counseling Compact is vital to addressing the mental health and substance use crisis afflicting our country. Supporting and working to get this bill passed, thus allowing NY to become part of the compact, will widen access to mental health services across state lines, further assisting to reduce access to service barriers that so many people face. Please pass this bill and do your part to address the mental health & substance use needs and promote the healing of not only the residents of this state but all of those suffering across the country. Thank you for your time and consideration.

As a psychologist in the state of New York deeply invested in our community's mental health, I urge your support for the swift passage of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) in our state. In our evolving mental health landscape, the demand for telepsychology services highlights the need for forward-thinking licensing practices. PSYPACT offers a practical solution by enabling psychologists to practice across state lines, removing unnecessary barriers to timely mental health services. Your advocacy is crucial, and I kindly request your assistance in advancing this legislation through the Senate to enhance accessibility and empower practitioners to contribute their expertise without undue impediments. Thank you for your dedication to our community's well-being.

As a NYS LMHC, I have a stake in helping individuals/families/communities improve their quality of life through mental health services. Since Covid-19, the need for therapeutic services has increased greatly.. Also, incidents on the streets/subways in NY involving individuals with mental illness has also increased. Passing this bill will provide more accessible services to individuals/families/communities. Please pass this much needed bill.
