 Introduced  by  Sen.  CANZONERI-FITZPATRICK  --  read  twice and ordered
   printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT designating Richard Ernyey eligible to take the competitive civil
   service examination for the position of police officer
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section 58 of the civil
 service law, section 14-109 of the administrative code of  the  city  of
 New York, or any other law to the contrary,  Richard Ernyey, born Febru-
 ary  21,  1987, who had been continuously employed by the police depart-
 ment of the city of New York from January 9, 2013 to August 28, 2020, as
 a full-time police officer, shall be eligible to  take  the  competitive
 civil  service examination for the position of police officer and shall,
 contingent upon his score on such examination, be eligible to be  placed
 on  the  eligible list for appointment as a full-time police officer for
 the city of New York.
   § 2. Richard Ernyey shall  otherwise  be  subject  to  the  merit  and
 fitness  provisions of the civil service law and the administrative code
 of the city of New York applicable to full-time police officers.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
