 AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to making a technical
   correction to the designation of the animal shelter regulation fund
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 99-pp of the state finance law, as
 added by chapter 683 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows:
   3. Monies of the fund shall be expended solely  for  the  purposes  of
 carrying  out  the provisions of article twenty-six-C of the agriculture
 and markets law. Monies shall be paid out of the fund on the  audit  and
 warrant of the state comptroller on vouchers approved by the commission-
 er  of agriculture and markets. Any interest received by the comptroller
 on monies on deposit in the [pet dealer licensing] ANIMAL SHELTER  REGU-
 LATION fund shall be retained in and become part of such fund.
   §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
 manner as section 9 of chapter 683 of the laws of 2022 takes effect.
