 Introduced  by  Sens.  RIVERA,  HOYLMAN-SIGAL, KENNEDY -- read twice and
   ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee  on
   Health
 
 AN  ACT  to  amend  the social services law, in relation to coverage for
   services provided by school-based health centers for  medical  assist-
   ance  recipients;  and  to  amend part JJ of chapter 57 of the laws of
   2021 amending  the  social  services  law  relating  to  managed  care
   programs, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (d-3) of subdivision 3 of section  364-j  of  the
 social  services  law, as added by section 1 of part JJ of chapter 57 of
 the laws of 2021, is amended to read as follows:
   (d-3) Services provided in school-based health centers  shall  not  be
 provided  to medical assistance recipients through managed care programs
 established pursuant to this section [until at least  April  first,  two
 thousand  twenty-three,]  and  shall  continue to be provided outside of
 managed care programs.
   § 2. Section 2 of part JJ of chapter 57 of the laws of  2021  amending
 the social services law relating to managed care programs, is amended to
 read as follows:
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately [and shall expire April 1,
 2023,  when  upon  such  date the provisions of this act shall be deemed
 repealed]; provided [further,] THAT the amendments to section  364-j  of
 the social services law made by section one of this act shall not affect
 the repeal of such section and shall be deemed repealed therewith.
   §  3.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
 the amendments to section 364-j of the social services law made by  this
 act  shall  not  affect  the  repeal of such section and shall be deemed
 repealed therewith.
