BILL NUMBER: S5754 SPONSOR: O'MARA TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the penal law, in relation to authorizing any justice or judge in the state to obtain a license to have and carry concealed a pistol or revolver PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: Authorizes any justice or judge in the state to obtain a license to have and carry concealed a pistol or revolver. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 2 of section 400.00 of the 2 penal law, as amended by chapter 371 of the laws of 2022, is amended to 3 read as follows: 4 (d) have and carry concealed by a justice of the supreme court in the 5 first or second judicial departments, or by a judge of the New York 6 city civil court or the New York city criminal any court in the state;

O'MARA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to authorizing any justice or judge in the state to obtain a license to have and carry concealed a pistol or revolver THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 2 of section 400.00 of the penal law, as amended by chapter 371 of the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows: (d) have and carry concealed by a justice of the supreme court [in the first or second judicial departments], or by a judge of [the New York city civil court or the New York city criminal] ANY court IN THE STATE; § 2.
