BILL NUMBER: S6205 SPONSOR: BORRELLO TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 405 of the laws of 2007 amending the tax law relating to increasing hotel/motel taxes in Chautauqua county, in relation to the effectiveness thereof PURPOSE: Extends to November 30, 2025, the expiration of the five percent hotel and motel tax in the county of Chautauqua SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1. Amends Section 2 of chapter 405 of the laws of 2007, amending the tax law relating to increasing hotel/motel taxes in Chautauqua coun- ty, as amended by chapter 61 of the laws of 2017, in relation to extend- ing the expiration of such provisions until November 30, 2025. Section 2. Provides an immediate effective date.

BORRELLO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend chapter 405 of the laws of 2007 amending the tax law relating to increasing hotel/motel taxes in Chautauqua county, in relation to the effectiveness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 405 of the laws of 2007 amending the tax law relating to increasing hotel/motel taxes in Chautauqua county, as amended by section 1 of item B of subpart D of part XXX of chapter 58 of the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows: § 2. This act shall take effect December 1, 2007 and shall expire and be deemed repealed November 30, [2023] 2025. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10664-01-3
