 AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure  law,  in  relation  to  granting
   peace  officer  status  to  uniformed court officers of the village of
   Dobbs Ferry in Westchester County
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision 88 to read as follows:
   88. EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE COURT OF THE VILLAGE OF  DOBBS  FERRY  IN
 WESTCHESTER  COUNTY  SERVING AS UNIFORMED COURT OFFICERS AT SUCH VILLAGE
 COURT; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT NOTHING  IN  THIS  SUBDIVISION  SHALL  BE
 DEEMED TO AUTHORIZE SUCH OFFICER TO CARRY, POSSESS, REPAIR OR DISPOSE OF
 A FIREARM UNLESS THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE THEREFOR HAS BEEN ISSUED PURSU-
 ANT TO SECTION 400.00 OF THE PENAL LAW.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  criminal procedure law, in relation to granting
   peace officer status to uniformed court officers  of  the  village  of
   Dobbs Ferry in Westchester County

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 2.10 of the criminal procedure law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 88 to read as follows:
   88.  EMPLOYEES  OF  THE VILLAGE COURT OF THE VILLAGE OF DOBBS FERRY IN
 WESTCHESTER COUNTY SERVING AS UNIFORMED COURT OFFICERS AT  SUCH  VILLAGE
 COURT.  THESE  OFFICERS  SHALL ONLY HAVE THE POWERS LISTED IN PARAGRAPHS
 (B), (H), AND (I) OF SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION 2.20  OF  THIS  ARTICLE;
 PROVIDED,  HOWEVER,  THAT NOTHING IN THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DEEMED TO
 AUTHORIZE SUCH OFFICER TO CARRY, POSSESS, REPAIR OR DISPOSE OF A FIREARM
 UNLESS THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE THEREFOR  HAS  BEEN  ISSUED  PURSUANT  TO
 SECTION  400.00 OF THE PENAL LAW; PROVIDED FURTHER HOWEVER, THAT IF SUCH
 EMPLOYEE IS NOT CURRENTLY A POLICE OR PEACE OFFICER PURSUANT TO  SECTION
 1.20  OR 2.10 OF THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE LAW, SUCH EMPLOYEE MUST SUCCESS-
 FULLY COMPLETE THE TRAINING REQUIRED UNDER SECTION 2.30 OF THIS ARTICLE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
