 AN ACT to amend chapter 55 of the laws of  2022,  amending  the  general
   municipal law and the town law relating to authorizing fees and charg-
   es  for  emergency  medical  services,  in  relation  to  making  such
   provisions permanent

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  4  of part KK of chapter 55 of the laws of 2022,
 amending the general municipal law and the town law relating to  author-
 izing  fees  and  charges  for emergency medical services, as amended by
 section 1 of part KK of chapter 57 of the laws of 2025,  is  amended  to
 read as follows:
   §  4.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
 have become a law and shall apply to health care claims submitted on  or
 after  such  date[; provided, however, that this act shall expire and be
 deemed repealed nine years after it shall have become a law].
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
