 AN ACT to amend the veterans' services law and the economic  development
   law,  in  relation  to making widely available information on programs
   related to the hiring of veterans
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Section  4  of  the  veterans' services law is amended by
 adding two new subdivisions 40 and 41 to read as follows:
   40. TO MAKE WIDELY AVAILABLE, VIA, AMONG OTHER THINGS, PUBLICATION  ON
 THE  DEPARTMENT'S WEBSITE AND FREE MOBILE APPLICATION PURSUANT TO SUBDI-
 VISION TWENTY-ONE OF THIS SECTION, INFORMATION ABOUT FEDERAL  AND  STATE
 PROGRAMS  AVAILABLE  TO  BUSINESS OWNERS THAT EMPLOY VETERANS, INCLUDING
 BUT NOT LIMITED TO ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS ON  HOW  TO
 APPLY  FOR PROGRAMS RELATED TO THE HIRING OF VETERANS, INCLUDING BUT NOT
 LIMITED TO THE FEDERAL WORK OPPORTUNITY TAX CREDIT (WOTC) PURSUANT TO 26
 USC § 51 ET SEQ.   AND THE HIRE A VET  CREDIT  PURSUANT  TO  SUBDIVISION
 TWENTY-NINE  OF  SECTION  TWO  HUNDRED TEN-B OF THE TAX LAW, SUBDIVISION
 (A-2) OF SECTION SIX HUNDRED SIX OF THE TAX LAW, AND  SUBDIVISION  (G-1)
 OF  SECTION  FIFTEEN  HUNDRED  ELEVEN  OF  THE  TAX LAW. THE INFORMATION
 REQUIRED TO BE MADE AVAILABLE UNDER THIS SUBDIVISION  SHALL  BE  UPDATED
 AND MAINTAINED AT LEAST ANNUALLY.
   41.  TO COORDINATE WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TAXATION AND FINANCE AND THE
 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO INCREASE EMPLOYER AWARENESS  ABOUT
 THE  AVAILABILITY OF PROGRAMS RELATED TO THE HIRING OF VETERANS, INCLUD-
 ING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FEDERAL WORK OPPORTUNITY  TAX  CREDIT  (WOTC)
 PURSUANT  TO  26 USC § 51 ET SEQ.  AND THE HIRE A VET CREDIT PURSUANT TO
 SUBDIVISION TWENTY-NINE OF SECTION TWO HUNDRED TEN-B  OF  THE  TAX  LAW,
 SUBDIVISION  (A-2) OF SECTION SIX HUNDRED SIX OF THE TAX LAW, AND SUBDI-
 VISION (G-1) OF SECTION FIFTEEN HUNDRED ELEVEN OF THE TAX LAW.
   § 2. Subdivision 49 of section 100 of the economic development law, as
 renumbered by chapter 728 of the laws of 2021, is renumbered subdivision
 50 and a new subdivision 49 is added to read as follows:
