 AN ACT in relation to directing  the  department  of  transportation  to
   construct  and  install safety gates at a certain railroad crossing in
   the village of Castleton-on-Hudson, county of Rensselaer
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no later than
 two years after the effective date of this act, the department of trans-
 portation shall construct and  install  safety  gates  at  the  railroad
 crossing  that crosses over Scott avenue, to the west of Main street, in
 the village of Castleton-on-Hudson, county of  Rensselaer.  Such  safety
 gates shall operate via positive train control.
