 AN ACT to amend chapter 890 of the laws of 1982, relating to the  estab-
   lishment  of  certain water charges for hospitals and charities in New
   York city, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section 2 of chapter 890 of the laws of 1982, relating to
 the establishment of certain water charges for hospitals  and  charities
 in  New  York  city,  as  amended by chapter 247 of the laws of 2024, is
 amended to read as follows:
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall remain  in  full
 force and effect only until September 1, [2026] 2028.
