 AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
   the state highway system as the "Samuel Trombley Memorial Bridge"
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-r to
 read as follows:
   §  344-R.  PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNATED AS THE
 "SAMUEL TROMBLEY MEMORIAL BRIDGE".  THE BRIDGE AT  THE  INTERSECTION  OF
 STATE ROUTE ELEVEN AND STATE ROUTE ONE HUNDRED NINETY, DESIGNATED BRIDGE
 NUMBER  1039640  971LX, WHICH CROSSES OVER THE NORTH BRANCH OF THE GREAT
 CHAZY RIVER, IN THE TOWN OF  ELLENBURG,  COUNTY  OF  CLINTON,  SHALL  BE
 DESIGNATED AND KNOWN AS THE "SAMUEL TROMBLEY MEMORIAL BRIDGE".
   §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state  highway  system
 as  designated  pursuant  to  section one of this act. However, to avoid
 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce,  the  desig-
 nation  called  for  pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of
 ceremonial nature and the official name of  such  bridge  shall  not  be
 changed as a result of this act.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.

 AN  ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
   the state highway system to Samuel Trombley

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-r to
 read as follows:
   § 344-R. PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DEDICATED TO SAMUEL
 TROMBLEY.    THE  BRIDGE  AT  THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTE ELEVEN AND
 STATE ROUTE ONE HUNDRED NINETY, DESIGNATED BRIDGE NUMBER 1039640  971LX,
 WHICH  CROSSES  OVER  THE  NORTH BRANCH OF THE GREAT CHAZY RIVER, IN THE
 TOWN OF ELLENBURG, COUNTY OF  CLINTON,  SHALL  BE  DEDICATED  TO  SAMUEL
 TROMBLEY.

 as  dedicated  pursuant  to  section one of this act, provided that such
 signing shall state "Bridge Dedicated to Samuel Trombley".  However,  to
 avoid  confusion  and  to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the
 dedication called for pursuant to section one of this act shall  be  one
 of  ceremonial  nature and the official name of such bridge shall not be
 changed as a result of this act.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
