GRAY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the retirement and social security law, in relation to eliminating earning limitations for retired persons in positions of public service THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 212 of the retirement and social security law is amended by adding a new subdivision 2-a to read as follows: 2-A. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SUBDIVISION TWO OF THIS SECTION, THERE SHALL BE NO EARNING LIMITATION FOR RETIRED PERSONS IN POSITIONS OF PUBLIC SERVICE FROM THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-FIVE AND THEREAFTER. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD06300-01-5
