 AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation  to  designating
   security  officers  for  the village court of the village of Pleasant-
   ville as peace officers
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision 60 to read as follows:
   60. EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE COURT OF  THE  VILLAGE  OF  PLEASANTVILLE
 SERVING  AS  SECURITY OFFICERS AT SUCH VILLAGE COURT; PROVIDED, HOWEVER,
 THAT NOTHING IN THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DEEMED TO AUTHORIZE SUCH OFFI-
 CER TO CARRY, POSSESS, REPAIR OR DISPOSE OF A FIREARM UNLESS THE  APPRO-
 PRIATE  LICENSE  THEREFOR  HAS BEEN ISSUED PURSUANT TO SECTION 400.00 OF
 THE PENAL LAW.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation  to  designating
   security  officers  for  the village court of the village of Pleasant-
   ville as peace officers
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision 89 to read as follows:
   89. EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE COURT OF  THE  VILLAGE  OF  PLEASANTVILLE
 SERVING  AS  SECURITY  OFFICERS  AT SUCH VILLAGE COURT.   THESE OFFICERS
 SHALL ONLY HAVE THE POWERS LISTED IN PARAGRAPHS (B),  (H),  AND  (I)  OF
 SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION 2.20 OF THIS ARTICLE; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT
 NOTHING IN THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DEEMED TO AUTHORIZE SUCH OFFICER TO
 CARRY,  POSSESS,  REPAIR  OR DISPOSE OF A FIREARM UNLESS THE APPROPRIATE
 LICENSE THEREFOR HAS BEEN ISSUED PURSUANT TO SECTION 400.00 OF THE PENAL
 LAW; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT IF SUCH EMPLOYEE IS NOT CURRENTLY A  POLICE
 OR  PEACE OFFICER PURSUANT TO SECTION 1.20 OF THIS TITLE OR 2.10 OF THIS
 ARTICLE, SUCH EMPLOYEE MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE TRAINING  REQUIRED
 UNDER SECTION 2.30 OF THIS ARTICLE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
