 AN  ACT to amend the real property law, in relation to requiring commer-
   cial spaces to post broker and property management  information  after
   one month of a new vacancy
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The real property law is amended by adding  a  new  section
 235-k to read as follows:
   §  235-K.  DUTY  OF  LANDLORD  TO  POST BROKER AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
 INFORMATION. UPON THE VACANCY OF ANY COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FOR A PERIOD OF
 ONE MONTH, IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF SUCH  LANDLORD  TO  POST  BROKER  AND
 PROPERTY  MANAGEMENT  INFORMATION OF SUCH PROPERTY IN THE WINDOW OF SUCH
 PROPERTY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE NAMES,  ADDRESSES,  AND  PHONE
 NUMBERS  OF  SUCH  BROKERAGE AND PROPERTY MANAGER OR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
 COMPANY. SUCH SIGN OR POSTER MUST HAVE CONSPICUOUS LETTERING IN AT LEAST
 SEVENTY-TWO POINT BOLD FACE TYPE THAT STATES THE PURPOSE OF  THE  NOTICE
 AS SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
