S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 7017 2025-2026 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y March 18, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. KASSAY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to establishing a family fare ticket policy for any metropolitan transportation authority facility or system THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public authorities law is amended by adding a new section 1266-n to read as follows: § 1266-N. FAMILY FARE TICKET POLICY. THE AUTHORITY SHALL DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A FAMILY FARE TICKET POLICY VALID FOR DISCOUNTED FARES FOR MINORS AGED TWELVE THROUGH SEVENTEEN FOR ANY OF THE AUTHORITY FACILITIES AND SYSTEMS AS DEFINED IN SUBDIVISION TWO OF SECTION TWELVE HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE OF THIS TITLE. THE PRESENCE OF A PARENT OR GUARDIAN IS NOT A PREREQUISITE TO RECEIVING THE FAMILY FARE TICKET PRICE. § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall have become a law.
