 AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law,  in  relation  to  rules  of
   evidence
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Section 190.30 of the criminal procedure law is amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 9 to read as follows:
   9.  IN  GRAND  JURY  PROCEEDINGS INVOLVING SEX TRAFFICKING OFFENSES AS
 DEFINED BY SECTION 230.34 OR 230.34-A OF THE PENAL  LAW,  A  WRITTEN  OR
 ORAL  STATEMENT  MADE BY A POLICE OFFICER MAY BE RECEIVED AS EVIDENCE OF
 THE FACTS STATED THEREIN.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
