 AN ACT to amend the general business  law,  in  relation  to  prohibited
   combative sports that result in the injury of an individual
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Section 1019 of the general  business  law  is  amended  by
 adding two new subdivisions 1-a and 1-b to read as follows:
   1-A.  ANY  PERSON  WHO KNOWINGLY ADVANCES OR PROFITS FROM A PROHIBITED
 COMBATIVE SPORT WHICH RESULTS IN THE PHYSICAL INJURY OF ANY  INDIVIDUAL,
 AS  DEFINED BY SUBDIVISION NINE OF SECTION 10.00 OF THE PENAL LAW, SHALL
 BE GUILTY OF A CLASS A MISDEMEANOR.
   1-B. ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY ADVANCES OR PROFITS  FROM  A  PROHIBITED
 COMBATIVE  SPORT  WHICH  RESULTS  IN  THE SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY OF ANY
 INDIVIDUAL, AS DEFINED BY SUBDIVISION TEN OF SECTION 10.00 OF THE  PENAL
 LAW, SHALL BE GUILTY OF A CLASS D FELONY.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of November next succeed-
 ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
