 AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
   the state highway system as the  "Fort  de  la  Presentation  Memorial
   Highway"
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 345-d to
 read as follows:
   § 345-D. PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNATED  AS  THE
 "FORT  DE  LA  PRESENTATION  MEMORIAL  HIGHWAY". ALL THAT PORTION OF THE
 STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM CONSTITUTING STATE ROUTE SIXTY-EIGHT  BEGINNING  AT
 THE  INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTE SIXTY-EIGHT AND ALBANY AVENUE, CONTINU-
 ING IN A GENERALLY  NORTHEASTERLY  DIRECTION,  AND  TERMINATING  AT  THE
 INTERSECTION  OF STATE ROUTE SIXTY-EIGHT AND COMMERCE STREET IN THE CITY
 OF OGDENSBURG, COUNTY OF ST. LAWRENCE, SHALL BE DESIGNATED AND KNOWN  AS
 THE "FORT DE LA PRESENTATION MEMORIAL HIGHWAY".
   §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state  highway  system
 as  designated  pursuant  to  section one of this act. However, to avoid
 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce,  the  desig-
 nation  called  for  pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of
 ceremonial nature and the official name of such  highway  shall  not  be
 changed as a result of this act.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.

 AN  ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
   the state highway system to Fort de la Presentation

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 345-d to
 read as follows:
   §  345-D.  PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DEDICATED TO FORT
 DE LA PRESENTATION. ALL THAT PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM CONSTI-
 TUTING STATE ROUTE SIXTY-EIGHT BEGINNING AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH ALBANY
 AVENUE, CONTINUING IN A GENERALLY NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION, AND TERMINAT-
 ING AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH COMMERCE STREET IN THE CITY OF  OGDENSBURG,
 COUNTY OF ST. LAWRENCE, SHALL BE DEDICATED TO FORT DE LA PRESENTATION.
   §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state  highway  system
 as  dedicated  pursuant  to  section one of this act, provided that such
 signing shall state "Highway Dedicated  to  Fort  de  la  Presentation".
 However,  to  avoid  confusion  and  to limit any possible disruption of
 commerce, the dedication called for pursuant to section one of this  act
 shall  be one of ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway
 shall not be changed as a result of this act.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
