S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8138 2025-2026 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y May 1, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. BORES -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development AN ACT to repeal article 2 of the general business law relating to the sabbath; and to amend the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law, in relation to removing references to such repealed law THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Article 2 of the general business law is REPEALED. § 2. Subdivision 7 of section 208 of the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law, as amended by chapter 243 of the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows: 7. Notwithstanding [the provisions of section seven of the general business law, or] any [other] inconsistent provision of general, special or local law, the commission shall specify annually the dates on which, and the hour of the first post time for days during which, such fran- chised corporation may operate at the places and for the full number of days specified in its franchise. § 3.
