 AN  ACT  to amend chapter 676 of the laws of 1978, amending the town law
   relating to payment in lieu of taxes for certain property in the  town
   of Hempstead, in relation to extending the expiration thereof

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 676 of the laws of 1978, amending  the
 town  law  relating  to payment in lieu of taxes for certain property in
 the town of Hempstead, as amended by chapter 174 of the laws of 2023, is
 amended to read as follows:
   § 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1978 and  shall  be  operative
 only to and including June 30, [2025] 2027.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
