S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8684 2025-2026 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y May 29, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. TAYLOR -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to authorize Jonathan Montalvo to be placed on the eligible list for employment as a full-time university police officer for the state university of New York police THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 58 of the civil service law, including the age requirements under paragraph (a) of subdivision 1 of such section, or any other provision of law to the contrary, Jonathan Montalvo, shall be eligible to be placed on the eligible list for appointment as a full-time university police officer with the state university of New York police, contingent upon his score on a civil service examination for such position. § 2. Jonathan Montalvo shall otherwise be subject to the merit and fitness provisions of the civil service law applicable to full-time university police officers. § 3. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD01333-02-5
