 AN  ACT in relation to authorizing the department of health to designate
   a level one or level two trauma center  in  Far  Rockaway,  county  of
   Queens
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The department of health shall designate  a  level  one  or
 level  two  trauma  center in Far Rockaway, Queens county if such center
 meets all  requirements,  rules,  and  regulations  promulgated  by  the
 department;  provided,  however,  such  center  shall not be required to
 include a hospital and shall be exempt from conflicting requirements  of
 the American College of Surgeons.
   ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
