   tee on Ways and Means
 
 AN  ACT to amend chapter 54 of the laws of 2025 providing capital grants
   to municipalities under the  consolidated  local  street  and  highway
   improvement  program, in relation to the department of transportation;
   and making an appropriation therefor

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 1 of chapter 54 of the laws of 2025 providing capi-
 tal  grants  to  municipalities  under the consolidated local street and
 highway improvement program, is amended by repealing the items hereinbe-
 low set forth in brackets and by adding to such section the other  items
 underscored in this section.

   Highway Aid Purpose
 
 For  capital  grants to municipalities under
   the consolidated local street and  highway
   improvement program:
 The sum of $589,300,000 to counties, cities,
   towns  and  villages  for reimbursement of
   eligible costs of local highway and bridge
   projects pursuant to sections 16 and  16-a
