AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to removing public
officials for executing warrants from the international criminal court
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The public officers law is amended by adding a new section
35-b to read as follows:
§ 35-B. REMOVAL FOR UNLAWFUL EXECUTION OF INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT
WARRANT. A PERSON HOLDING ANY PUBLIC OFFICE SHALL BE REMOVABLE THERE-
FROM, IN THE MANNER PROVIDED BY LAW, FOR THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERNA-
TIONAL CRIMINAL COURT ARREST WARRANT IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW UNTIL
SUCH TIME AS THE UNITED STATES RATIFIES ANY NECESSARY INTERNATIONAL
TREATY THAT WOULD RECOGNIZE THE JURISDICTION AND AUTHORITY OF THE INTER-
NATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT.
§ 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
