 Introduced  by  Sen.  MAYER  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary
 
 AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to requiring a report  on
   the  administration,  function and outcomes of all superior courts for
   veterans treatment
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subdivision  2  of  section  212  of the judiciary law is
 amended by adding a new paragraph (gg) to read as follows:
   (GG) SUBMIT, ON OR BEFORE MARCH FIFTEENTH, TWO THOUSAND  TWENTY-EIGHT,
 AND ANNUALLY THEREAFTER ON OR BEFORE MARCH FIFTEENTH, TO THE LEGISLATURE
 AND  THE  GOVERNOR A REPORT ON THE ADMINISTRATION, FUNCTION AND OUTCOMES
 OF ALL SUPERIOR COURTS FOR VETERANS TREATMENT, OPERATING IN THE STATE AS
 PART OF THE TREATMENT COURT PROGRAM  DURING  THE  PRECEDING  YEAR.  SUCH
 REPORT SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, AN ACCOUNTING OF THE NUMBER
 AND  DEMOGRAPHICS  OF VETERANS SERVED, ANY BARRIERS TO PARTICIPATION, AS
 WELL AS OUTCOMES OF CASES, EXPENDITURES OF STATE,  LOCAL,  FEDERAL,  AND
 OTHER  FUNDS  USED IN SUPPORT OF SUCH VETERANS TREATMENT COURT PROGRAMS.
 SUCH REPORT SHALL ALSO INCLUDE AVAILABLE INFORMATION ON STAFFING LEVELS,
 LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PROVIDERS, VETERANS SERVICE
 AGENCIES AND PROVIDERS, INCLUDING NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, WHO PROVIDED
 TREATMENT OR OTHER SERVICES TO PARTICIPANTS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
