   printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
   ment Operations
 
 AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to quorum  require-
   ments for meetings conducted remotely

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 103-a of the public  officers  law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 2-a to read as follows:
   2-A.  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, ANY MEMBER WHO HAS A
 DISABILITY AS DEFINED IN SECTION TWO HUNDRED NINETY-TWO OF THE EXECUTIVE
 LAW THAT RENDERS SUCH MEMBER UNABLE TO  BE  PHYSICALLY  PRESENT  AT  ANY
 MEETING  LOCATION  MAY  BE CONSIDERED PRESENT FOR PURPOSES OF FULFILLING
 THE QUORUM REQUIREMENT FOR THE PUBLIC BODY AT MEETINGS CONDUCTED THROUGH
 VIDEOCONFERENCING, PROVIDED THE APPLICABLE CRITERIA IN  SUBDIVISION  TWO
 OF THIS SECTION ARE OTHERWISE MET.
   §  2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the amend-
 ments to section 103-a of the public officers law made by section one of
 this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be deemed
 repealed therewith.

 AN  ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to quorum require-
   ments for meetings conducted remotely; and to amend part WW of chapter
   56 of the laws of 2022 amending the public officers  law  relating  to
   permitting  videoconferencing and remote participation in public meet-
   ings  under  certain  circumstances,  in  relation  to   making   such
   provisions permanent
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 103-a of the public  officers  law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 2-a to read as follows:

   §  2.  Section 4 of part WW of chapter 56 of the laws of 2022 amending
 the public officers law relating  to  permitting  videoconferencing  and
 remote  participation in public meetings under certain circumstances, as
 amended by section 1 of part KK of chapter 58 of the laws  of  2024,  is
 amended to read as follows:
   §  4.  This act shall take effect immediately [and shall expire and be
 deemed repealed July 1, 2026].
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
