TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend the general municipal law, in relation to fees charged
by municipal industrial development agencies
PURPOSE:
To standardize the fees charged by industrial development agencies with-
in a county.
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Amends section 856 of the General Municipal Law to add a new
subdivision 5, which requires that each municipal industrial development
agency(IDA) located entirely within a county that has its own county IDA
shall charge the same fees as the county IDA and shall not charge any
fees beyond the county IDA.

AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to fees charged
by municipal industrial development agencies
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 856 of the general municipal law is amended by
adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
5. EACH AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT A MUNICIPALITY WHICH IS NOT A
COUNTY, WHICH IS LOCATED WHOLLY WITHIN A COUNTY WHICH HAS AN AGENCY
ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT SUCH COUNTY, SHALL CHARGE THE SAME FEES AS THE
AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE MUNICIPALITY IS
LOCATED AND SHALL NOT CHARGE ANY FEES BESIDES THOSE WHICH ARE CHARGED BY
THE AGENCY ESTABLISHED TO BENEFIT THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE MUNICIPALITY
IS LOCATED.
§ 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
have become a law and shall apply to projects for which applications
were submitted on or after such effective date.
