AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to requiring milled roads
within a city having a population of one million or more be paved over
or resurfaced within seventy-two hours of such road being milled
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 333 to
read as follows:
§ 333. MILLED ROADS. ROADS WITHIN A CITY HAVING A POPULATION OF ONE
MILLION OR MORE WHICH HAVE BEEN MILLED SHALL BE PAVED OVER OR RESURFACED
WITHIN SEVENTY-TWO HOURS OF SUCH ROAD BEING MILLED.
§ 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
ing the date on which it shall have become a law. Effective immediately,
the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation neces-
sary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are
authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective date.
