   printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities 1
 
 AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
   relation to requiring the department of parks, recreation and historic
   preservation to cut down trees in a timely manner

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The section heading of section 18-151 of the administrative
 code of the city of New York, as added by local law  number  65  and  as
 renumbered  by local law number 133 of the city of New York for the year
 2017, is amended and a new subdivision 5 is added to read as follows:
   Street tree maintenance [information posted online].
   5. THE DEPARTMENT UPON RECEIVING AN INITIAL REQUEST FOR  TREE  SERVICE
 RECEIVED  THROUGH  THE 311 CITIZEN SERVICE CENTER REQUEST OR THE DEPART-
 MENT'S WEBPAGE SHALL COMPLETE SUCH REQUEST WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF RECEIVING
 SUCH INITIAL REQUEST.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
