 AN ACT to amend the public health law, in  relation  to  mandating  that
   hospitals report cases involving poison to poison control centers
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 2 of  section  2805-l  of  the
 public  health  law, as amended by section 58 of part H of chapter 59 of
 the laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows:
   (d) CASES OF poisoning occurring within the hospital AND  CASES  WHICH
 ARE  PRESENTED TO THE HOSPITAL. SUCH CASES SHALL ALSO BE REPORTED TO THE
 REGIONAL POISON CONTROL CENTER;
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall

   committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as  amended  and
   recommitted to said committee

 AN  ACT  to  amend  the public health law, in relation to mandating that
   hospitals report cases of poisonings to poison control centers
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  The  public health law is amended by adding a new section
 2803-cc to read as follows:
   § 2803-CC. REPORTING OF POISONINGS. ALL HOSPITALS SHALL  REPORT  EVERY
 CASE OF POISONING TO THE REGIONAL POISON CONTROL CENTER, IN A MANNER AND
 WITHIN TIME PERIODS AS MAY BE SPECIFIED BY REGULATION BY THE DEPARTMENT.
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
