 Introduced  by  Sen.  ASHBY  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
 AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to setting fees
   for gold star family distinctive plates at the same rate as  for  gold
   star mothers
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1.  Subdivision 6 of section 401 of the  vehicle  and  traffic
 law is amended by adding a new paragraph b-2 to read as follows:
   B-2.  THE  PROVISIONS  OF  THIS ARTICLE WITH RESPECT TO THE FEES FOR A
 GOLD STAR FAMILY LICENSE PLATE,  SHALL  BE  SET  AT  THE  SAME  RATE  AS
 DISTINCTIVE  PLATES  FOR  GOLD  STAR  MOTHERS  ISSUED UNDER SECTION FOUR
 HUNDRED FOUR-I OF THIS TITLE, AND SHALL NOT INCUR ANY SERVICE CHARGE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
