   printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary
 
 AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to requiring  the  office
   of  court  administration  to publish an annual report regarding cases
   involving property/casualty insurance companies and insureds

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subdivision  2  of  section  212  of the judiciary law is
 amended by adding a new paragraph (ff) to read as follows:
   (FF) (I) ON OR BEFORE THE FIFTEENTH DAY OF MARCH OF EACH YEAR,  SUBMIT
 TO  THE  GOVERNOR,  THE  SENATE,  THE  ASSEMBLY, THE CHAIR OF THE SENATE
 COMMITTEE ON INSURANCE, THE CHAIR OF THE ASSEMBLY  COMMITTEE  ON  INSUR-
 ANCE,  AND  THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES A
 REPORT CONCERNING CASES INVOLVING PROPERTY/CASUALTY INSURANCE COMPANIES,
 AS SUCH TERM IS DEFINED IN SECTION ONE HUNDRED SEVEN  OF  THE  INSURANCE
 LAW,  AND  THEIR  INSUREDS  WHICH  WERE SETTLED OR WHERE A JUDGEMENT WAS
 REACHED DURING THE PRECEDING YEAR.
   (II) SUCH REPORT SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, FOR  EACH  CASE
 IN THE REPORT:
   (A) THE DATE OF THE FIRST LEGAL FILING INVOLVED IN THE CASE;
   (B) THE DATE WHEN THE SETTLEMENT OR JUDGEMENT IS REACHED;
   (C) WHETHER THE RESULT IS A SETTLEMENT OR A JUDGEMENT;
   (D) THE AMOUNT OF THE SETTLEMENT OR JUDGEMENT;
   (E) WHETHER THIRD-PARTY LITIGATION FUNDING HAD BEEN UTILIZED;
   (F) THE NAME OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY INVOLVED;
   (G) WHAT TYPE OF POLICY COVERAGE IS INVOLVED OR IN QUESTION;
   (H) WHETHER THE SETTLEMENT OR JUDGEMENT WAS REACHED IN MEDIATION, BY A
 JUDGE, OR BY A JURY;
   (I) IN WHICH COURT THE CASE WAS BROUGHT;
   (J) THE NAME OF THE JUDGE ASSIGNED TO THE CASE; AND
   (K)  ANY OTHER INFORMATION THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATOR OF THE COURTS DEEMS
 RELEVANT TO THE REPORT.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
