 Introduced  by  Sen.  ORTT  --  read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections
 
 AN ACT to authorize the public  campaign  finance  board  to  accept  an
   application/certification form jointly signed by candidates for gover-
   nor  and  lieutenant governor for eligibility to participate in public
   matching funds

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contra-
 ry, the public campaign finance  board  shall  accept  for  purposes  of
 determining  eligibility for public matching funds for the 2026 election
 cycle pursuant to title 2 of article 14 of the  election  law,  a  joint
 certification  form    as  required by 9 NYCRR 6221.26 (e) (2), which is
 designated as PCF-22 type 1P application/certification form, which  form
 shall be signed by both the candidate for governor and lieutenant gover-
 nor  on  the same form together with the notarization of such signatures
 as it relates to any of the candidates for governor as listed in  public
 campaign    finance  board resolution 2026-07, which form shall be filed
 with the public campaign finance  board  within  seven  days  after  the
 effective date of this act.
   ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
