SECTION 60-A
Licenses
General Business (GBS) CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE 6
§ 60-a. Licenses. It shall be unlawful for any person, association,
partnership or corporation to engage in the business of buying or
selling old metal, which business is herein designated junk business,
and which person, association, partnership or corporation is herein
designated junk dealer, unless such junk dealer shall have complied with
the provisions of this article and obtained a license so to do from the
mayor of the city, if the principal place of business of such junk
dealer is in a city, or the mayor of the village if such place of
business is in an incorporated village, otherwise from the supervisor of
the town in which such place of business is located; for which license
shall be paid such mayor or supervisor for the use of such city, village
or town, the sum of five dollars, which license shall expire on June
thirtieth of each year. The provisions of this article shall not apply
to any person, association, partnership or corporation duly licensed and
engaged in the business of scrap processing as provided in article six-C
hereof.
