    Inspector; qualifications

    Navigation (NAV) CHAPTER 37, ARTICLE 2

    § 12. Inspector; qualifications. The commissioner may appoint an
    inspector or inspectors, who shall have a practical knowledge of the
    construction, equipment and management of vessels and who shall possess
    such experience and qualifications as required to carry out and fulfill
    the duties of inspector indicated in this chapter and specifically
    defined in section thirteen hereof and as may be determined by the New
    York state civil service department.
