§ 2588. Reimbursement. 1. The total amount of cash assistance
provided pursuant to this title shall be limited to the amount of
federal funds appropriated for the program.

2. Eligible institutions approved by the commissioner pursuant to
section two thousand five hundred eighty-seven of this title shall be
reimbursed for meals, preparation of meals and administrative expenses
when provided to children and adults in amounts specified under federal
law, rule or regulation and consistent with the application as approved
by the commissioner. In the event that eligible institutions request
advance payment for meals, preparation of meals or administrative
expenses in accordance with federal law, rule or regulation, such
advance shall be paid if it is consistent with state and federal law,
rule or regulation and the application as approved by the commissioner.
