Senator Little presents the New York State Senate Liberty Medal to Margarette Bussing, in recognition of her late husband's service to our nation. Warren S. Bussing was recognized in November at the Warren County "Honor a Deceased Veteran" Program. Mr. Bussing was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran who served for approximately 4 years. For his service to our country, he was awarded the European Theater Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Medal, 2 bronze service stars, American Theater Medal and WWII Victory Medal. He served as a Seaman 1/c aboard the USS South Dakota (BB-57) and USS General Harry Taylor. Mr. Bussing passed away on December 28, 1984, and was laid to rest in Pine View Cemetery.
